Seven lawmakers including Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly – Hon. Edison Ehie have been suspended.
Sources say the suspension of the lawmakers were announced this morning as impeachment process of the governor – Sim Fubara have been announced by the speaker.
Supporters of the embattled governor and lawmakers have invaded the place and chased away the speaker and his allies.
The governor and the leader is currently leading the protest and addressing the press.
The Police is reportedly tear gasing the protesters.
