Governorship candidate of the Accord party in Rivers State, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs has reportedly escaped death as suspected thugs launched an attack on his campaign train in Igbo Etche, Rivers State.
A source said the incident occurred Today, during the campaign of the party in Igbo-Etche.
The source also said supporters of Accord party were attacked and injured as they scampered for safety.
The attack may not be unconnected with the recently signed Executive Order 21 which prohibits political parties from holding campaigns in government facilities without approval.
