Minister of Defense, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has stepped down from his position with immediate effect.
His resignation was announced in a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, Badaru tendered his resignation in a letter dated December 1 and addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, explaining that he was leaving office due to health challenges.
Further details on his departure and a possible replacement are expected from the Presidency.
