A Federal High Court in Abuja has convicted Biafra agitator Nnamdi Kanu on terrorism-related offences.
Presiding judge Justice James Omotosho, while delivering his ongoing judgment on Thursday, found Kanu guilty on counts one, two and three of the seven-count charge filed against him by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The court held that Kanu’s repeated threats of violence, killings, and his declarations of sit-at-home orders across South-East states—made during several broadcasts—amount to acts of terrorism under Nigerian law.
The judgment is still being delivered at the time of this report.
