The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and David Lyon – 2019 governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, have been suspended by the All Progressives Congress, over alleged anti-party activities.
APC Chairman for Ekeremor Local Government Area, Mitin Eniekenemi made the announcement on Friday.
This was after a disciplinary review by the party’s leadership in Bayelsa State.
He accused Lokpobiri of leading factions and collaborating with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following his unsuccessful bid for the APC governorship ticket in 2019
Meanwhile, David Lyon’s suspension was announced by Ebikazi Gbefa, APC Southern Ijaw LGA Chairman.
