President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, Today. This is following allegations of financial misappropriation against him.
The President had earlier set up a panel to probe various allegations against Magu, following a petition by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and the Department of State Service (DSS).
Ibrahim Magu was reported to have been arrested by the Department of State Security, DSS, yesterday, following the said accusations. Though the DSS had denied the report, stating that he was only invited for questioning.
According to reports, he spent the night in a police cell at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Headquarters in Abuja.
