The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on its members in Rivers State, to boycott the forthcoming LG elections, since it is the decision of the state leadership headed by Isaac Ogbobula.
National Secretary of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC of the All Progressives Congress APC, Sen. James Akpanudoedehe made this known in a statement yesterday, in Abuja.
He urged party members in the State to respect the decision of its state chapter.
Meanwhile, some members of the Ogbobula led faction, have called on the party to arrest and prosecute anyone that attempt to participate in the election using the name of the party.
This was after the faction loyal to Senator Magnus Abe declared preparedness to participate in the forthcoming council elections.
Golden Ben-Chioma factional Chairman of the group, said the party was ready to contest, in order to impact politically in the state, having suffered enormously due to leadership crisis.
