A teenage boy has reportedly drowned at the Nkpor River, Eagle Island in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, on Tuesday.
Eyewitnesses say the boy; a scavenger had gone to the river to swim with his friends. Few minutes later his lifeless body was found floating on the river.
They said the incident caused panic and tension in the area adding that a woman also died in the river not too long ago.
It was gathered that the boy’s corpse was removed from the river and taken to an unknown destination.
