The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha has announced that if he had the powers, he would have locked up Nigeria for the second time.

Boss Mustapha who made this disclosure at the COVID-19 briefing yesterday in Abuja, expressed displeasure at the recklessness of some Nigerians over the virus.

He said, “considering the increasing cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the country, it won’t be out of place to lockdown Nigeria the second time.”

Mustapha noted that Nigerians are romancing with the virus which portends great danger ahead. He stated that Nigerians must
continue to take responsibility to reduce community transmission of the virus and to obey directives of the government, as COVID-19 is real.

COVID-19 has continued to ravage the  country as evidenced in over 549 deaths, over 22,000 confirmed cases of the virus and other socio-economic costs.
