PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
In view of the prevailing security challenges along the Bonny – Port Harcourt sea route, the Bonny Local Government wishes to notify the public that:
1. Passenger-Boats plying the Bonny sea route will henceforth run on convoy, taking-off at the same time from Bonny and Port Harcourt for collaborative security convenience
2. The daily convoy schedule is as follows :
Morning;
7:00am-8:30am
10:00am-11:30am
Afternoon;
1:00pm- 2:30pm
4:00pm- 5:00pm
Boat operators and other Jetty personnel are enjoined to align with this new operational condition as contrary conduct will not be condoned.
The operational change takes effect from Wednesday, 29th, May, 2024.
Accordingly, the public is advised to adjust their travelling schedules to fit the stipulated times as the Local Government is working-out modalities to curb the sea challenges and guarantee a better travel experience, just as all inconveniences associated with this change is regretted.
