The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has approved a ₦100 million Women Empowerment Scheme aimed at supporting small-scale female entrepreneurs across the council.
Under the initiative, 200 women business owners are expected to benefit from grants of ₦500,000 each to help strengthen and expand their businesses.
According to the council chairman, the programme is part of the administration’s broader commitment to promoting women-led enterprises, enhancing economic inclusion, and stimulating grassroots economic growth within Bonny LGA.
Pepple emphasized that empowering women entrepreneurs remains a key priority, noting their vital role in sustaining families, creating jobs, and driving community development.
