The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon Anengi Claude-Wilcox has handed over mini Buses to 20 beneficiaries.
Boma Waribor, Chief press secretary of the council in a statement said the buses were recently procured by the local government for the purpose of easing the challenges associated with mass transportation in the LGA.
Speaking during a brief ceremony today at Government Lodge Bonny, the Executive Chairman explained that the Council subjected the process of acquiring the buses to application protocols, shortlisting, and interview sessions because of the need to ensure that only qualified drivers with interest for public transportation business benefitted.
She urged the 20 beneficiaries to strictly abide by the rules of engagement, especially the utilisation of the buses for mass transportation in and around Bonny LGA.
