The Bonny Legislative Council has passed the 2025 Supplementary Budget, tagged “The Budget of Renewed Sufficient Grace.”
Hon. Elvis Edison Green, Spokesperson, Bonny Legislative Council in a statement said the supplementary budget retains a strong developmental focus, with 75 per cent earmarked for capital projects and 25 per cent for recurrent spending. This, according to the Council, reflects the administration’s commitment to infrastructure expansion, economic growth, and people-centred governance.
Budget Breakdown: Recurrent Expenditure: ₦728,850,000 while Capital Expenditure: ₦3,394,000,000
Leader of the 10th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kingsley Tammy Jumbo, described the passage as timely and transparent, applauding members for their dedication. He reaffirmed the legislature’s resolve to support initiatives that promote sustainable development and enhance service delivery across Bonny LGA.
With the passage of the “Budget of Renewed Sufficient Grace,” the council says Bonny is now better positioned to sustain its developmental agenda, stimulate economic progress, and implement programmes that directly impact residents.
