The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Anengi Barasua Claude Wilcox has distributed N50,000 to 600 persons in the area.
Wilcox in a statement at the weekend said the money was executed by the Bonny Local Government Council, as no money was given to the council in respect to disbursement.
She said, “A beautiful Sunday to all well meaning citizens and residents of Bonny Local Government.
Congratulations to over 600 persons who benefited from the 50k cash gift distributed recently by the Bonny Local Government Council.
For the records the disbursement of fifty thousand naira (50k) cash gift was executed by the Bonny Local Government Council.
No money was given to the council in respect to disbursement.
We advise the general public to disregard such false information and warn peddlers of this rumour to desist from such unjust and unholy act of accusation in order to run down this administration.
Bonny Local Government recently took possession of 180 bags of garri and 540 bags of maize grains (corn) as palliative from Federal Government, which will soon arrive Bonny and will be distributed soon.
This government is poised to good governance and service to the people.
