The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Anengi Barasua Claude-Wilcox has presented bags of rice and cash gifts to people of the council to ease the pressure occasioned by the current economic situation in the country.
The Press Unit of the council disclosed this in a statement Today.
“As a way of easing-off the pressure occasioned by the current economic situation in Nigeria, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Dame Hon Anengi Barasua Claude-Wilcox, DSSRS, JP., today presided over the distribution of bags of rice in dozens and cash gifts to the elderlies, physically challenged and grassroots women in Bonny.
“The donation was borne out of the Renewed Hope Initiative of the Wife of Nigeria’s President, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, supervised in Rivers State by the Firstlady of the state, Her Excellency, Lady Valerie Siminialayi Fubara,” the statement read.
