In a bid to boost voter registration and participation, Bonny Local Government Area has announced free transportation for residents who wish to register during the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The initiative, approved by the Chairman of Bonny LGA, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, will take effect from Monday, November 10, 2025. It aims to encourage eligible residents, aged 18 and above, to visit the INEC office and complete their voter registration.
Deacon Karibi Dan-Jumbo, Chairman of the Voters Sensitization and Mobilization Committee, urged all residents who have not yet registered to take advantage of the support, emphasizing that “your vote is your power. Come out, get registered, and be part of the change you wish to see.”
The Bonny Local Government Council continues to prioritize civic engagement and active participation in the democratic process.
