The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has invited stakeholders and residents to a crucial Town Hall Meeting ahead of the temporary opening of the Bodo–Bonny Road.
According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Amb. Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo, the meeting is scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Ibanise Town Hall, Akiama-Oguede Road, Bonny, beginning at 11:00 a.m. prompt.
The session will focus on safety measures, traffic coordination, and other key preparatory activities necessary for the temporary opening of the vital road, which links Bonny Island to the rest of Rivers State.
Attendance is open to multinational companies, traditional rulers, titled citizens, security agencies, clergy, academia, civil society organisations, students, youth and women leaders, as well as all indigenes and non-indigenes of the local government area.
The council chairman urged all stakeholders to participate actively, describing the meeting as a crucial step towards ensuring the progress, safety, and smooth operation of the long-awaited Bodo–Bonny Road.
