The Federal Government has approved another increase to the tune of N280 billion for the completion of the Bodo-Bonny road construction project in Rivers State.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu made this known in a statement on the official X (formerly Twitter) account
He said, FEC made the approval during its meeting in Abuja on Monday that was presided over by President Bola Tinubu.
“The council approved the revised estimated contract cost for constructing Bodo-Bonny Road with bridges across the Opobo Channel in Rivers State.
“The contract was awarded in 2014 for N120 billion and revised in 2021 to N199, 923,638,963.87.
“The FEC approved another increase to N280 billion, with an additional completion period of 12 months,” part of the statement read.
