Controversial Nigerian transgender personality and social media influencer Bobrisky has officially changed his name, formally shedding his birth name, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, in favor of a new feminine identity.
In a statement released via his social media platforms, Bobrisky announced that he will now be known as Afolashade Amope Okuneye, adding that he may also be addressed as “Fola” or “Shade.”
“My new name is Afolashade Okuneye. You may also call me Fola or Shade,” the post read.
The Lagos-based crossdresser also unveiled a new look to accompany the name change, signaling a further step in his gender expression journey.
