A bill seeking to establish Local Government Electoral Commission has passed first reading in the Senate.
The Bill is seeking to establish a Federal Agency for the conduct of Local Government Elections.
The Bill which is sponsored by Sen. Sani Musa and titled “Local Government Independent Electoral Commission Bill (Establishment) Bill 2024, (SB. 531), was introduced in the Senate on Thursday.
