Organisers of the popular reality television show, Big Brother Naija, have officially announced that the 10th season of the show will premiere soon, with a record-breaking grand prize of N150 million for the winner.
The announcement was made during a press briefing held on Wednesday, where the organisers revealed that the new prize sum is the highest in the show’s history since its inception in 2006.
Fan-favourite host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return to anchor the upcoming season. While addressing the media, Obi-Uchendu reflected on the show’s milestones, noting that it has featured 197 housemates over nine seasons, delivered 709 days of on-air content, and awarded a total of N637 million in prizes.
He also recapped highlights from Season 9, themed “No Loose Guard,” which introduced a new twist requiring housemates to audition in pairs and enter the house as duos before competing individually after being unpaired. That season ended with contestant Kellyrae winning the N100 million grand prize, becoming the first married winner in the show’s history.
