Bandits have launched another attack in Kwara State, abducting at least 11 people—including a pregnant woman, young children and nursing mothers—in Isapa, a community near Eruku in Ekiti Local Government Area.
The latest incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Monday, November 24, just a day after victims kidnapped during a church service in Ekuru were released.
According to Daily Trust, an estimated 20 to 30 armed men stormed the community, shooting sporadically as they advanced and forcing residents to flee. An elderly woman was reportedly struck by a stray bullet.
A community source, who asked not to be named, confirmed that 11 persons were taken, seven of them from one household. “The victims include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers and several young children,” he said.
The incident has heightened fears across Isapa and adjoining communities, as security operatives and local vigilantes intensify search efforts to track the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
