A former Special adviser to Governor, Nyesom Wike, Opunabo Inko-Tariah has reacted to the ban on night clubs along Abacha road by the governor.
Inko-Tariah in a statement yesterday, described the ban as “draconian and anti-people.”
He stated that the ban is insensitive, adding that night clubs are where people go to unwind and that it generates income for people and the government.
The activist, said it is disheartening that a government which has failed to create new jobs for its citizens, would displace them of the ones they have, and cause more hardship.
He explained that with the ban, a lot of people would lose their jobs and it would negatively affect them, and those who depend on them for survival.
He pointed out that the government is still owing civil servants in the state, and was yet to fulfil its promise of 5000 jobs.
Inko-Tariah furthermore, described the jobs by Julius Berger as enslavement.
