The Rivers State Government has said that the ban on tricycles popularly known as “Keke-Napep” on major roads in the state is not to victimize anyone.
The state Commissioner for Transport, Osima Ginah in a statement yesterday said the essence was to ensure an accident-free road during the festive period.
He called on tricycle operators in the state to obey the order as the ministry would be going round to ensure compliance with the directive.
He noted that anyone caught flouting this order will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
