The Chairman Caretaker Committee of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi has announced the dissolution of Executives of the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs led by Chief Adokiye Ochemiebia Chuku.
The dissolution which takes immediate effect aims to maintain the existing peace, harmony and social cohesion in the area.
Consequently, a Caretaker Executives has been constituted to pilot the affairs of the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs with the following persons as Chairman and members:
Chief Frank Barasimeye Opumbire – Chairman,
Chief Sotonye D. Ali Igonibi – Vice Chairman,
Chief Kennedy T. Iyawo Agbanida-Oju – Secretary,
Chief J. R. Amakiri – PRO, and
Chief Justice Kienka as Provost.
He said the appointment which takes immediate effect is to foster a strong synergy between the Local Government Council and the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs for the good governance of the LGA.
All relevant security agencies in Ogu/Bolo have been officially notified of this development.
He added that companies and other corporate organizations operating in the area as well as individuals are by this announcement urged not to have any dealing with the Chief Adokiye Ochemiebia Chuku led former Executives of the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs.
He said anyone who has dealings with the former Executives of the Council of Chiefs does so at their own risk.
