Police Sergeant, Emehurus Onochukwu who survived the attack on Elimgbu Police station in Obio/Akpor local government area, Rivers State, by unknown gunmen has called on the state government and the Police Command to help save his life.
The Police officer, who survived the onslaught with bullet wounds, is currently on admission at the Rivers State Teaching Hospital.
Mr Onochukwu in a chat with journalist over the weekend, said more than one week after the attack, he is still living with bullets in his body.
He said doctors have advised that he needs surgery to remove the bullets, but he cannot afford the medical bill.
Mrs Ngozi Onochukwu, wife of the victim has also pleaded with the state government to help save her husband.
She said her husband May die if the surgery is not carried out as soon as possible.
