The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has reacted to the directive of the Rivers State Government for higher institutions in the State to resume academic activities on October 5, 2020.
Chairman of ASUU, Biodun Ogunyemi in a statement over the weekend threatened to sanction its members in the state’s higher institutions if they go ahead to resume academic activities as directed by the government.
He said the union has not exempted any of their branches from the ongoing strike and that any branch that violates the order will be sanctioned.
