National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, in Rivers State, has threatened that there would be no election next year if the Federal Government fais to end the on going strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
NANS President in the State, Levi Okuru made this known during a peaceful protest organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress in Port Harcourt, Today.
He stated that the association will ensure that Rivers State and other states are completely shutdown if government fails to heed to their demands.
“After the protest, if them no come to our aid we go come out with full force to make sure that this state and every state in Nigeria is being shutdown till Federal Government open our campuses,” he said.
He also said it is very bad that when graduates go in search of employment, employers request for someone who is 25 years old with 10 years experience, meanwhile the government keeps frustrating them.
