The Nigeria Civil Service Union, has threatened to embark on sympathy strike with the Academic Staff Union of Universities whenever they begin their industrial action.
National President of the NCSU, Chief Lawrence Amaechi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti.
ASUU, had in a statement few days ago threatened strike action over failure of the government to meet its demands.
Amaechi, stated that failure of the government to implement the agreement reached with ASUU, may throw the education sector into another crises.
“Failure on the part of the Federal Government to implement the agreement may plunge the educational sector into another serious crisis as being threatened by ASUU,” he said.
“Other workers across the country may not have other option than to embark on sympathy strike and rescue Nigerian youth from the state of hopelessness. “If stakeholders are concerned with the future of Nigerian youth, the Federal Government should be sensitive enough not to allow another round of strike by members of ASUU,” he added.
