Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, UNIPORT, Dr. Austen Sado has blamed the federal government for the poor state of universities across the country.
Austin who made this known in a statement yesterday, said the federal government spends more time and money equipping and renovating the National Assembly Complex than the universities.
The ASUU Boss made this statement while reacting to the poor state of universities in the country and the failure of any Nigerian university to make the top 1000 universities in the world list.
Only two higher institutions in Nigeria, University of Ibadan and University of Nigeria, Nsukka were mentioned amongst the top 2000 universities in the world.
