The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, has threatened to embark on an indefinite strike from April 6.
President of ASUP, Anderson Ezeibe, disclosed this after its National Executive Council meeting in Katsina, on Friday.
He said the essence of the strike was to compel the Government, implement most of the agreements they had.
“There is the need to implement the contents of the NEEDS Assessment report of 2014 in public polytechnics and similar institutions,” he said.
ASUP also said, they want the Government to implement the provisions of the Federal Polytechnics Act, as well as its domestication in Adamawa, Kano, Sokoto, Abia, Niger and other affected states.
