The Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign, has petitioned the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike on behalf of one Elechi Chimankpam allegedly assaulted by OSPAC officials in Apani community.

Mr Elechi had in a statement alleged that the security outfit detained and assaulted him over alleged misappropriation of fund.

A lawyer with the association, Festus Brown in a chat with journalists yesterday, called on the council boss to ensure a thorough investigation into the matter.

He condemned the attack on the student and assured that the association will ensure the matter is not swept under the carpet.
