Following the successful completion of the process of the final ascension rites of the late Amanyanabo of Kalabari Kingdom, His Serene Majesty, King (Prof.) Theophilus Jacob Tom Princewill, JP, CFR, Amachree XI, and in compliance to a court judgment directing the Chairman of Asari-Toru LGA to be in possession and unhindered control of the entire length and breadth of the King Amachree Hall, the Regent of Kalabari kingdom, Chief Dr. Charles I. T. Numbere, has formally handed over the KEYS of the King Amachree Memorial Hall to the Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Onengiyeofori George, DSSRS.
In this regard, the Chairman, upon written request by the Regent, is vested with the instant laws to grant or deny such permission having weighed the intent and rationale of the said convocation, or usage of the King Amachree Hall.
Accordingly, the Chairman who is visibly elated at the success of the burial process, which started from 1st November to 30th November, thanked the Royal Family, Traditional Rulers, Chiefs and indeed all Asalgans for their peaceful disposition throughout the process.
The Chairman however charged Security Agencies to be alert and clamp down on any individual or group who may gain forceful entry without express approval into the King Amachree Hall, adding that anyone found wanting would face the full wrath of the law.
