The Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Onengiyeofori George, DSSRS has described the kind gestures of the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS and the former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the FCT, His Excellency, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, in sending Christmas packages across the State as “enough food” for the good people of Asari-Toru Local Government Area.
Hon. Onengiyeofori George who made the commendation today at the Council’s Secretariat in Buguma during the distribution of the Christmas packages to the thirteen Wards of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, overtly thanked the Governor and the former Governor for this show of love, which puts smiles on the faces of Rivers people at this critical time of Nigeria’s economy.
The ASALGA Council Boss, who practically took charge in the distribution of the Christmas Gifts, advised Councilors and Ward Chairmen to consult widely with leaders and stakeholders of the Ward to ensure that ALL Asalgans partake in this Christmas largesse, which he described as “enough food” for ALL Asalgans.
He However prayed that this kind gesture from our leaders will usher in the needed peace and development in our dear Rivers State.
