Chairman of Asari-Toru local government area, Rowland Sekibo has confirmed the attack on military personnel along the Trans Kalabari road by unknown gunmen on Sunday.

According to reports, the attack left one soldier dead with two others injured.

The gunmen reportedly came in a speed boat.

The sixth division of the Nigerian army is yet to react to the incident.
