The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Sen. Magnus Abe has warned security operatives to desist from arresting members of the party.
Speaking, during a mega rally of the party in Elekahia Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Abe said they are in touch with the International community over what he termed “illegal detention of members of the party.
He said they have been directed to provide names of politicians or Police officers who are used as instruments of depravity to harass and arrest members of the party with fake charges, so they can be charged before the International Criminal Court.
“We are in touch with the International Community, and they have told us that anybody (whether a politician or police man), who is used as an instrument of depravity, to start harassing and locking up members of the SDP, dragging them before fake magistrates with fake charges and sending them to prison, we should bring their names, they will charge them before the International Criminal court,” he said.
