The 6th Division of the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt says it has discovered about 40 illegal crude oil wells in Rumuekpe community in Obio/Akpor LGA of the state.
The Army in a statement said the wells were discovered on Wednesday during a Clean and Sweep Operation.
It said the wells which are about 40ft deep are the new tricks used by oil thieves to steal crude.
