Army Deactivates illegal Refining Sites, Destroys Wooden  Boats With Stolen Crude in Rivers

The Nigerian Army says it has destroyed 9 illegal refining sites, with 176 cooking drums and several pumping machines at Obiafu in Ogba/EgbemNdoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Lieutenant Colonel Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, Acting Deputy Director, 6 Division made this known in a statement at the weekend.

He said mobile phones, several locally constructed dumps, stocked with over 60,000 litres of stolen products were also confiscated.

He also disclosed that four oil thieves were arrested during the raid.
