The Rivers State Chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association, is demanding a public apology from sacked Rivers APC CTC Chairman, Tony Okocha for making derogatory comments against Justice S.H Aprioku after he restrained him(Okocha) from parading himself as state chairman of the party.
Chairman of Port Harcourt Branch of the NBA, Cordelia Eke made the call during a press briefing with chairmen of other branches in Rivers State on Tuesday.
She condemned Okocha’s utterances adding that the judiciary cannot be cajoled in delivering judgements to suit anyone.
She also said the right thing for litigants to do is to appeal any judgement not in their favor and not cast aspersion on judges and the judiciary.
The association also threatened to take legal actions against Chief Tony Okocha if he fails to apologize publicly.
