Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tony Okocha has said that Hon. Martin Amaewhule and 24 others are not card carrying members of the APC amid the political crisis in the state.

Okocha, who made this known when he appeared on Channels TV “Politics Today” said neither of them have their names in the party’s register.

He stated this while reacting to the ruling of the Appeal Court in the RSHA leadership Tussle.

According to him, what they were doing at the time was to woo Amaewhule and his men to the party, as it is within their right to woo people to the party.

Recall that Okocha and other members of the party had received Amaewhule and his men to the APC as members at a ceremony in Port Harcourt. This was shortly after they announced their defection from PDP to the APC on the floor of the House.
