The People’s Democratic Party has accused the All Progressives Congress, of being behind attacks on the properties of the Independent National Electoral Commission, across the country.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan disclosed this in a statement, on Tuesday.
He said history will not be kind to the APC for the act, as he called on the Inspector General of Police to place leaders of the party on Watch List.
“It is despicable that having realized that it has no place in the 2023 election, given its abysmal failure in governance, APC leaders are seeking to set our country ablaze and truncate our hard-earned democracy,” he said.
“The PDP restates its position that the APC has been promoting acts of violence including burning of INEC offices in other to build up an emergency situation and frustrate the smooth conduct of the 2023 general elections,” he added.
There have been incessant attacks on INEC offices across the country lately, with the Chairman of the Commission, Mahmood Yakub stating that if it is not checked, it might disrupt some of its programmes.
