The All Progressives Congress (APC) has defended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stating that he is constitutionally entitled to campaign for any candidate of his choice, irrespective of party affiliation.
Speaking during an interview on Morning Brief on Channels Television on Monday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, addressed concerns over Wike’s backing of APC candidates in the February 21 FCT Area Council elections.
Morka maintained that Wike, as a citizen of Nigeria, enjoys constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, including the right to campaign for any political candidate or party of his choosing.
He emphasized that the former Rivers State governor has the inherent liberty to participate in political activities across party lines without restriction.
