The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to speculations that Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is planning to defect to the party.
Speaking on Thursday, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the party would not prevent Governor Fubara from joining if he chooses to do so.
Morka, however, clarified that he is not aware of any ongoing discussion or formal plan by the governor to defect to the APC.
He added that the party remains open and willing to welcome anyone who shares its ideals and wishes to join its fold.
