The Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi led faction of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, says there is no court order stopping the state chapter, from participating in the party’s membership registration and revalidation exercise.
Factional Caretaker Chairman of the party in the state, Isaac Ogbobula made this known in a statement, on Saturday.
Ogbobula who said that there is a court judgment backing the conduct of the exercise, urged members and intending members to participate fully.
He noted that the party will not participate in the forthcoming local government elections in the state, because the Constitution of the membership of the electoral body was faulty.
He alleged that some members of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, were card-carrying members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ogbobula called on party members in the state, to ignore those insisting that the party will participate in the forthcoming local government poll.
