A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwumemeka Eze has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to address what he described as Gov. Nyesom Wike’s disdainful attitude towards the provisions of the electoral act.
Eze, in a statement on Thursday said Wike has been indirectly campaigning for the 2023 election, when embargo on political activities has not been lifted.
He said the Governor, on different occasions have asked Nigerians to vote out the ruling party come 2023, and accused him of inciting Nigerians against President Muhammadu Buhari.
He also accused the governor of organizing political rally, in the guise of project commissioning.
“May 2019 ended long ago but Wike has carried on with rallies round the state inviting national figures and using the avenue to speak ill of President Mohammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress,” he said.
He furthermore, called on INEC to penalize the Governor for organizing campaign rallies when it is not yet time for that.
