A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Innocent Ajaelu has called on the state caretaker committee Chairman of the APC, Chief Isaac Ogbogbula to resign over what he described as “incompetence .”
Ajaelu, in a statement accused Ogbobula and his cohorts of compiling names of “preferred candidates” that would emerge during the party’s upcoming congresses.
He also said he wants the National leadership of the APC to allow only those who bought nominations forms for the 2018 congresses to take part in the upcoming congresses.
He alleged that it is the ruling of the supreme Court which all leaders of the party, including the chairman of the party in the state should obey.
However, Ogbogbula in a statement dismissed the claims by Ajaelu.
“Today there is no decision of the Supreme Court anywhere, where it was held that only those who bought forms in Rivers State in 2018 should participate in the forthcoming congresses of the party,” he said.
