Senator, Magnus Abe has said that public servants who steal money meant for the people will always remain poor.
Abe, said this during the 30th anniversary celebration of Gokana Local Government Area over the weekend.
The Senator, who was awarded for his immense contribution to the development of the LGA, commended the council boss, Hon. Confidence Deko for his developmental strides.
He said the chairman, has the power to divert public funds for his personal use like previous chairmen, but chose to develop the council.
He prayed for him and urged Gokana people to support him to continue the good works.
Abe, also urged leaders of the area to put politics aside and work for the growth of the council, as it belongs to them irrespective of party difference.
