The eight fire incident in Port Harcourt, occurred yesterday, at a residential building close to the Rumuola flyover.
This follows the seventh and sixth fire incidents at Captain Amangala Waterside and the JDP round about by Peter Odili Road in Port Harcourt.
Sources say the incident was reportedly caused by the careless use of cooking gas by a resident.
Meanwhile, experts say the carelessness of residents is mainly the cause of the fire incidents.
They said the fire outbreaks would have been prevented if safety measures were observed.
