The sixth fire incident occurred yesterday, at Captain Amangala Waterside in Port Harcourt. Few hours after the fifth fire incident at the JDP round about by Peter Odili Road.
The incident, was caused by the careless use of cooking gas by a resident, according to sources.
Six rooms with properties inside were razed by the fire which caused panic in the area, as residents fought to put it out.
This comes few hours, after the Rivers State Government, had said it is ready to combat fire outbreaks and emergencies across the state.
The government, also said reports making the rounds that firemen are not ready to respond to fire outbreaks are false.
It warned residents to desist from attacking firemen who come to put out fire, as they are doing their best.
