Outspoken Niger Delta Rights Activist, Ann-Kio Briggs, has described the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as a “cesspool of corruption.”
Ann-kio who made this known in a statement, called on the people of the Niger Delta to stop seeing the commission as a developmental agency.
She said the people involved and controlling the corruption at the NDDC are not majorly Niger Delta people. The Niger Delta people are involved, but the level of corruption has been set up long ago with the creation of the NDDC.
She described the crises rocking the commission as an issue of systemic corruption beyond the personality of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, and Ex-MD of the commission, Joy Nunieh.
